JESSIE B. BRAMAN RITTER, Winterset

Services for Jessie B. Braman Ritter, 93, Winterset, who died Dec. 8, 1984, at the Care Center North where she resided, were held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlie Morrow and the Rev. Peter Quiring officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Born in Alcester, S.D. on Sept. 23, 1891, she was the daughter of Lewis and Lena Blohm Akin. Mrs. Ritter spent most of her life in Winterset and was a homemaker.

She was married to James A. Braman in Madison County on Dec. 10, 1910. He died Nov. 30, 1945. She was married to Vern M. Ritter on April 14, 1957 at Winterset. He died in 1972.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen M. Peterson and husband Clyde of Winterset; a daughter-in-law, Betty Braman of Winterset; brothers, Gilbert Akin of Winterset and Emory Akin of Loveland, Colo.; sisters, Opal Burger of Winterset and Fay Burger of Waukee; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a son, a brother and three sisters.
