Max Corwin Beverlin, 76, of Orlando, Fla., died Feb. 19, 2003, in Orlando.
A committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, at the Penn Center Cemetery west of Earlham. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset with the Rev. Duane Queen officiating. The family will gather in Fellowship Hall to greet friends and family immediately following the services.
Max Beverlin was born July 29, 1926, to C. J. and Estina (Lorimor) Beverlin of Peru. His marriage to Dorothy Crawford took place Sept. 1, 1946, at the Church of Christ in Winterset. Max had been a real estate broker and a general manager of his son's film equipment rental company. In 1986, he moved to central Florida from Fort Dodge. He was a member of the Fort Dodge Presbyterian Church (elder) Presbyterian Church of the Lakes in Orlando, Fla., Lions Club (past president), Rotary Club and Masonic Lodge (50 years).
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Orlando. Fla.; his father, C. J. Beverlin of Winterset, two daughters, Denise Kern of San Antonio, Texas, and Debra Armstrong of Winter Gardens, Fla.; a son Robert Beverlin of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Jack Beverlin of Herscher, Ill., and six grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare of Winterset.
