ROY FORD, Winterset

Services for Roy Ford, 90, a native of Madison County who died Oct. 28, 1982 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Monday, Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Home here with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Ford was born Feb. 14, 1892, the son of Richard Campbell and Mary Josephine Amy Ford. He farmed most of his life and retired in 1955. He married Eva G. Hildebrand March 5, 1914 in Winterset.

Mr. Ford lived most recently at the Bethesda Care Center in Winterset.

Survivors include brothers, Guy and Fred, both of Winterset; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Eugene and Clare; and sisters, Pearl, Edith and Cecil.
