FRANK GILLESPIE Died Friday

F. J. "Frank" Gillespie of Winterset, a lifetime resident of Madison County and a retired farmer, died at his home here last Friday, February 7, 1975. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Gillespie was born in Madison County on March 20, 1905, the son of Thomas Leo and Elizabeth Grassman Gillespie. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Winterset.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Marie) White of Winterset, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Melroy of Davenport, and Mrs. Irene Wright of Davenport; and two brothers, Leo Gillespie of Winterset and John Gillespie of Lancaster, Calif.

Mr. Gillespie was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. this morning (Wednesday), February 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset, with Monsignor William J. McMahon officiating. Burial, with military graveside rites by Green-Rogers Post 184 of the American Legion, was in the Calvary Cemetery at Churchville.

A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, February 11, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
