Services for Dr. C. O. Koehn, 77, Winterset, who died April 10, 1984, at the Bethesda Care Center, were held Thursday at the First United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Military graveside services were also held at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born at Elkader on July 19, 1906, he was the son of William and Mary Reichardt Koehn. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1929 with a doctor's degree in dentistry and came to Winterset the same year to practice.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, an elder in the church, the Rotary Club, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, the Knights of Pythias Lodge, and a member of the American Dental Association.
He married Ilene Doop on Oct. 29, 1931 in Winterset, and she survives along with a son, William J. Koehn of Des Moines, a daughter, Mary Jo Johnson of Ames; a sister, Mrs. Ray Lemka of Elkader; five grandchildren and two great grand-children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
