CHARLES D. BRICK

Charles D. Brick, 67, of Cumming died of pancreatic cancer Jan. 7, 2006, at his home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Norwalk. Burial was at St. John’s Cemetery.

Charles Brick was born in Polk County and moved to Orillia in Warren County at the age of 4. He moved to Cumming following his marriage to Janice Cameron in 1959. Charles worked as an electrical repairman for Monarch Cement Company for 26 years and owned and operated a sanitation company, Charles Brick Hauling, with his family for 22 years. He also worked for Chevron Chemical, Cargill Elevator, and Norwalk Auto Parts and farmed. He was a member of United Cement Union 287 and Knights of Columbus Chapter 7556, where he was past Grand Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, of Cumming; four daughters, Frances Hoffman of St. Charles, Paulette Pettit of Winterset, Charlene Dollison of Milo and Patricia Brittain of Ogden; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Norwalk Fire and Rescue.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Brooks Funeral Care in Clive.
