Thompson, Henry, Jefferson twp., farmer, Sec. 31; P.O. Winterset; born in Mercer (what is now Lawrence) county, Pennsylvania, April 5, 1805; was raised there and lived there until 1845; he married Miss Sarah Moore November 29, 1827; she is a native of Washington county, Pennsylvania; they came to Madison county in 1867 and located where they now live; he owns 360 acres of land; they have a family of three sons and two daughters: Elizabeth, Mary J., Robert L., Henry and John C.
