E. Snyder, Penn twp., farmer, Sec. 33; P.O. Dexter; owns 160 acres of land; born in Holmes county, Ohio; married in 1852 to Miss Hochstoler, then a resident of Pennsylvania; has eight children living: J. A., G. B., A. H., W. L., and H. D.; girls are: Sarah, Mary and Lovilia; Mr. S. came to Madison county in 1869, settling where he now lives; has two sons teaching school in the township; member of M. E. Church.
