L. N. Smith, Lee twp., farmer and wool-grower, Sec. 18; P.O. Booneville; born in New Hampshire in 1827, and was raised there, and came to this county in 1857; he owns a farm of 640 acres of land, and devotes a large portion of his attention to sheep, in which he has been very successful; he has held the office of township clerk eleven years, and served as township trustee; he married Miss Melvina A. Howe in 1851; she was also a native of New Hampshire; they have three children: Mary Etta, Ira and Emma J.
