J. W. Smith, Walnut twp., dealer in general merchandise; P.O. Ohio; born in Morgan county, Illinois, in 1843; came to this county with his parents in 1853; he married Miss Isabel C., daughter of Samuel M. Walker, November 14, 1870; she is a native of Park county, Indiana; they have two sons and one daughter: Samuel C., Fred and Gertie.
