Mrs. Matilda Ruby, Lincoln twp., whose maiden name was Harper, was born in Coshocton county, Ohio; in 1859 she married W. J. Ruby, who was born in the same county in 1835; they came to this county in 1859; Mr. Ruby held various township offices, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him; he died in 1878; he resided on section four and owned ninety-two acres of land; he left six children: Emma, Isaac C., Charles W., Mattie, Lucy and J. Harper.
