F. H. Roper, Winterset, livery and sale stable: is a native of Massachusetts, and was born in April, 1825; he came to this county in 1877 and engaged in his present business; previous to coming to this county he has resided in Pennsylvania, New York and Wisconsin; it is not saying too much when we state that in the management of his business he is a model; he married Miss Clarissa Beers December 24, 1846; she was born in Tioga county, New York; has six children: William H., Mary L., Anna D., Carrie J., Hattie E. and Jessie A.
