J. S. Lorimor, Scott twp., farmer, Sec. 30; P.O. Winterset; born in Washington county, Pa., March 26, 1827; when ten years of age his parents removed to Guernsey county, Ohio, and lived there nine years, then removed to Washington county, Ohio, and lived there eight years; he married Miss Mary J. Harvey, of Washington county, Ohio, March 16, 1854; the same spring they emigrated to Iowa, and this county, and located in this township; has lived on his present farm since the spring of 1860; owns 400 acres of land; has three sons and two daughters: Elza B., Laura L., Effie L., Theodore L, Alvernus H.
