S. M. Holmes, Scott twp., farmer, Sec. 27; P.O. Winterset; born in Jackson county, Indiana, November 16, 1848; he lived there until he came to this county with his parents in 1855; owns a farm of eighty acres; he married Miss Fanny, daughter of Thomas Stevens, December 25, 1870; she was born in Henry county, Iowa, but came to this county when quite young; they have one son: Albert M.
