Wm. Heaton, Lee twp., farmer, Sec. 27; P.O. Booneville; was born in Greene county, Pennsylvania, in July 1815; he was raised there and afterward removed to Illinois and owns a fine farm there at the present time of 450 acres in a high state of cultivation; he came to this county in 1871 and purchased a large tract of land, and still owns about 1,000 acres; he married Miss M. Hedge in 1839; she was born in Pennsylvania; has eight children: Daniel, James P., Abagail, Morgan, Margaret J., Abner, Jester and Mary Ann.
