M. M. Gilleran, Lee twp., farmer, Sec. 2; P.O. Commerce; was born in Ireland in 1839 and emigrated to this country with his parents in 1849 and settled in Madison county May 4, 1854; he owns a farm of 80 acres; he has held offices of assessor and school director; married Miss Mary Ragan in 1866; she was a native of Ireland; the names of their children are: Ellen, John, Mary, Kate, Martin and Dominick.
