J. A. Darnall, Winterset; harness-maker, of the firm of Darnall & Mullikin;
born in Hendricks county, Indiana in 1843, and came to this State in 1858, and to this county in
1872; he enlisted in the 28th Iowa Inf., Co. C, in the late war, and served three
years; he married Miss Jennie Quaintance, in 1871; she was born in Ohio; has two
children: Orion P. and Pearl.
