Ashbaugh, John B., farmer, Sec. 8., Penn twp., P. O. Dexter; born in Westmoreland county, Pa., in 1841; came to Iowa in 1866; he married in 1869, Miss Emma Anthony; has five children: Ada, Nancy, Jessie, Emma and John; he was in the army two years, Co. C 105th Pennsylvania Infantry; Mr. Ashbaugh was in thirty-three engagements, many of them important ones; mustered out at Bailey Cross Roads.
