Lee Glenn Van Tol
1933-1953

Lee was born to Mr. and Mrs. Cornie Van Tol May 7, 1933, in the town of Doon, where he lived all his life, except for a short time when he was employed at Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was educated in the Doon Christian School and the Western Christian High School.

Lee Glenn Van Tol attained the age of 19 years, 8 months and 21 days. He died January 28, 1953, at about 12:20 a.m. as the passenger in a fatal automobile accident near Doon. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornie Van Tol, a sister, Kitty Joy and four brothers, Joe Donley, Conley Veryle, Kenneth Jon and Audley David. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mulder, Mrs. Lane Van Tol and his great grandfather 94-year-old John Otten, Sr.

Funeral services were conducted at the Doon Christian Reformed Church with the Reverend Carl Toeset officiating. Miss Margery Caswell, a high school classmate of the deceased, rendered organ music at the rite. A mixed quartet sang "God's Way" and "Waiting on Jesus." John Vander Ark of Hull sang "God Understands." Pallbearers were Earl Gort, Gerald Otten, Joe Van Engen, Herman Gorter, Lester Moget and LeRoy Te Slaa. Interment was made in the Doon Cemetery.
