Cornie Van Tol, 71, died Friday, December 28, at the Hegg Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services were held Monday at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Roger Bultman officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Doon with the Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Cornie Van Tol was born March 19, 1908, at Sioux Center. He married Annetta Mulder on October 5, 1932, at Doon. They lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 20 years, and moved to Rock Valley in October of 1977.

Survivors include the widow; four sons, Joe of Rock Valley, Conley of Paw Paw, Michigan, Kenneth of Caledonia, Michigan, and David of Sioux Center; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kit) Kooima of Rock Valley.

Also two brothers; Maynard of Sanborn, IA and William of Ripon, CA; two sisters; Mrs. Neal Groendyke of Sanborn, IA and Mrs. Ike Steensma of Luverne, MN and 14 grandchildren.
