Marlyn Hansmann
1930-1984

Marlyn Hansmann was born on Nov. 25, 1930 at George, Iowa, the son of Alfred and ELvina (Siebrands) Hansmann. He lived his youth and attended country school near George. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.

He married Joan Schoonhoven on Feb. 14, 1956. They farmed near George. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He passed away at the Sibley Hospital on Sept. 15, 1984 at the age of 53 years, 10 months and 21 days.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Joan; four children: Darvin and Karol Hansmann of Grand Island, Nebraska; Maria (Mrs. Randy Van Briesen) of George, Iowa; Debra (Mrs. Phillip Allen) of Riverside, Iowa; and Mark Hansmann of George, Iowa,; 3 grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hansmann of George, Iowa; one sister, LaVonne (Mrs. Ted Molitor) of Sibley, Iowa.
