Annetta Van Tol was born October 5, 1912 at Doon, the daughter of Joe and Kate (Otten) Mulder. She married Cornie Van Tol October 5, 1932 at Doon. They lived in Doon until moving to grand Rapids, Michigan in 1960. They Moved to Rock Valley, IA in 1977.

Cornie died on December 28, 1979.

Annetta was a nurses aid in Grand Rapids, and had taught Sunday School in Doon and Grand Rapids. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Senior Citizens and the Foster Grandparent Program. She was very skilled at crocheting and knitting, receiving many awards at local fairs.

Annetta died Sunday, May 14, 1995 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years.
She is survived by her step mother, Alice Mulder of Rock Valley; four sons and their wives, Joe D. and Judy of Rock Valley, Iowa, Conley and Dollie of Paw Paw, Michigan, Kenneth and Pat of Freeport, Michigan, A. David and Linda of Iowa City, Iowa; a daughter, Kit and her husband Bob Kooima of Rock Valley, Iowa; a brother, John R. Mulder and his wife Coba of Doon, Iowa; two sisters, Edna O'Brien of Springfield, S.D., and Joyce Kooiker and her husband Bill of Hull, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Glenn on January 27, 1953; her husband, Cornie; two brothers, Richard and Edwin; and a sister Thelma Dykstra.
