January 14, 1937 - February 18, 2017

INWOOD, IOWA - Kathryn Minnie Kroger, 80, of Inwood, Iowa, died on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Fellowship Village in Inwood.

Family Prayer visitation will be at 4:00 p.m. with public viewing from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 22 at the Porter Funeral Home in Inwood, Iowa. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the English Lutheran Church in Larchwood, Iowa with Rev. Mark Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in the Larchwood Cemetery.

Kathryn Minnie Kroger was born January 14, 1937 at Inwood, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Florence (Erdman) Kroger. Kathryn attended country school north of Inwood, Iowa. While attending Hope Haven of Rock Valley, Iowa for many years she lived at Rock Valley. In 2005 she moved to Fellowship Village in Inwood were she made her home.

Kathryn every year looked forward to January 14 for her BIRTHDAY to share with family and friends No matter the weather. She also enjoyed listening to the radio and playing her favorite Johnny Cash record on her phonograph.

She will be deeply missed by all who got to know her.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sisters, Norma (Gerald) Van Grootheest of Doon, Iowa and Mary (Silas) Wannamaker of Olivet, South Dakota; special niece, Carol (David) Harms; other nieces and their spouses, Sandra Guthrie, Paulette Olseth, Deb Oberg, Teresa Kroger, Deb Bruggeman, Brenda Ellis, Patricia Vance, Laura Halford, and Karen Carlson; nephews, Donavan, John M. and James Cannegieter; Douglas, Alan, and Jeffery Kroger, David, Dale, and Corey Kroger, and Ronald Van Grootheest; also 39 grand-nieces and nephews; 41 great-grand-nieces and nephews; and six great-great-grand-nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; two brothers, Paul Kroger and Arthur Kroger; a sister, Fern Cannegieter; brother-in-law, John Cannegieter; two sisters-in-law, Carole Kroger and Anna Kroger; uncles; aunts; a niece, Wendy Kay Kroger; and three grand-nephews: Michael Cannegieter, Joshua Wither, and Jeffery Green.
