Eugene Olson, 77, of Rock Rapids died Sunday Nov. 7, 2004, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 10, at First Reformed Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born May 16, 1927, near Rock Rapids, the son of Ted and Elfreda (Horn) Olson. He attended country school, graduated from Wilson High School in Rock Rapids and served in the navy. Upon his discharge, he returned home and started farming. He farmed until retiring in 1998.

On March 14, 1982, he married Evelyn Krull in George. The couple made their home in Rock Rapids.

Survivors include his wife; four stepchildren, Mrs. Tony (Brenda) Benz, Kevin Krull and Lisa Krull, all of Rock Rapids, and Ronda Van Engen of Sioux Falls; four stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-granddaughter and one brother, Ronald of Steen, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
