Delores Gross, 71, of Little Rock died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Avera McKennan Hospital Hospice Unit, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Delores Hayenga was born June 25, 1933, in North Liberty Rock, Minn., the daughter of Clarence and Thelma (Thiesse) Hayenga. She attended country school and graduated from Little Rock High School in 1950.

On March 8, 1951, she married Leeroy Gross in Little Rock. They farmed near Little Rock. Delores worked as a cook at Rock Rapids Health Centre six years and sold Avon 40 years.
At First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, she was active in Ruth Circle and World Service, taught Sunday School and Bible School, sang in the adult choir, directed Junior Choir, acted as church secretary and had been president of the Women's Association. She was also a member of Little Rock Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Merlin of San Diego, Calif., Mark of Little Rock and Michael of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one daughter, Mrs. Brian (Kathryn) Edelman of Sioux City; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harlan of Windom, Minn., Roger of Arnolds Park and Ellison of Sibley, and two sisters, Clara Markman of Brewster, Minn., and Paulette Hayenga of Windom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Clyde Buchman.
