James Metzger Jr., 21, of Hills, Minn., died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, near Hills from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Services were Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Apostolic Christian Church, Lester, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Metzger was born Aug. 20, 1983, at Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of James and Lois (Wagenbach) Metzger. He grew up near Hills and attended West Lyon, graduating in 2002. He attended Mitchell (S.D.) Technical College, graduating in May 2004 from the electrical construction and maintenance program. While attending college, he worked for Meyer Electric in Lester and continued there after graduation.

Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Clint and Ross, both of Hills, and Steve of Hancock, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Scott (Molly) Bowman of Luverne, Minn., and Annie Metzger of Hills, and grandparents, Elmer and Mariann Metzger of Lester.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Simon and Louise Wagenbach.
