Coba Boersman, 92, of Rock Valley died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Valley Manor.

Memorial services were Saturday, Oct. 16, at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley, with interment in Hillside Cemetery, Doon.

Coba Van Sloten was born Nov. 2, 1911, at Hull, the daughter of John Sr. and Nettie (Van Maanen) Van Sloten.

On Feb. 20, 1935, she married Theodore Boersma near Doon. They farmed near Doon until moving into Doon in 1971. They became residents of Valley Manor in Rock Valley Feb. 12, 2003.

Her husband died Aug. 10, 2003.

She was a member of First Reformed Church at Doon.

Survivors include one son, Arlyn of Doon; one daughter, Janet Boersma of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill of Sioux Center, and two sisters, Henrietta Olivier of Bellflower, Calif., and Geraldine Klomp of Rock Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Willie, Gerrit, John Jr., Hank and Henry, and one sister, Jeannette.
