Ella Weerheim, 87, of Rock Rapids died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

Services were Tuesday at First Reformed Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Ella Feikema was born Sept. 14, 1916, the daughter of William and Edith (Westra) Feikema. She grew up and attended school in the Rock Rapids area.

On Feb. 20, 1940, she married Phil Weerheim. They lived in the Rock Rapids and Larchwood areas. She assisted her daughter with her daycare business the past several years.

Survivors include her husband; one son, James of Milford; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Esther) Altman of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Jake (Phyllis) Van Den Hul of Sioux Falls, S.D.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence of Hills, Minn., and William of Rock Rapids, and three sisters, Genevieve Spyksma of Rock Rapids, Dorothy Overman of Hull and Edith McKinnon of Sioux Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
