Mary Teresa (McMullen) Duffy

February 22, 1871 – July 22, 1908

Mrs. Mary Duffy who formerly lived in Rock Valley but recently at Hornick Iowa died at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness and was taken last Saturday to Alvord and buried beside her parents.

She was thirty seven years old and the mother of nine children -- the youngest being but four weeks old. She is a sister of Mrs. John Doherty who resides north of Rock Valley. She is highly spoken of for her womanly qualities by those who are intimately acquainted with her.

We extend our sympathies to the bereaved friends in their sad affliction.
