Alvord woman, 68, dies at Rochester

Alvord, Iowa - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Ellen Sullivan, 68 years old, of Alvord, one of the oldest residents in Lyon county, at Rochester, Minnesota, Monday morning following a lingering sickness.

Mrs. Sullivan was born in Wisconsin in 1863 and settled in Lyon county after the civil war.

Surviving are three sons, John, Frank, and Rob, all of Alvord, and three daughters, Anna, of Sioux City; Claire, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Celestine, a nun, at Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born October 13, 1863 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Lewis Barth and Julia Ann (Sullivan) Barth.

She married Martin Sullivan.

She died March 21, 1932, at Rochester Minnesota; Per Minnesota death records.
