Jacob Wulf, 85, of Lester died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Friday at Apostolic Christian Church, Lester, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wulf was born March 24, 1919, near Lester, the son of Albert and Maria (Knobloch) Wulf. He grew up and attended country school near Lester. He joined the army in December 1941. After his discharge, he returned to Lester and continued farming.

On Jan. 8, 1950, he married Alice Moser at Morris, Minn. He farmed until 1999.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harlan of Lester and Albert of Sioux Falls; six daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Madonna) Krieger of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Doug (Clara) Schock of Bloomfield, Mrs. Tom (Colleen) Dogotch and Mrs. Roy (Jenell) Koehl, both of Morris, Mrs. Mike (Mavis) Schmidt of Lester and Mrs. Walt (Nola) Gerst of Oakville; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Wilhelm of Lester and Lawrence of Larchwood and three sisters, Amelia Roemen of Inwood, Mrs. Virgil (Mildred) Sauder of Morris and Mrs. Dick (Leah) Doorneweerd of Beaver Creek, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Faith Schock; two brothers, Emil and Leonard, and three sisters, Emma Wulf, Karoline Doorneweerd and Marlyn Luthi.
