Michael LePaige age 55 of Sibley, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in George, Iowa.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Sibley, Iowa, with Pastor Doug Noonkester officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Michael Roy LePaige was born on September 1, 1959 in Chico, California, the son of Jason and Shannon Simpson. He was raised in Conroe, Texas, and attended and graduated from New Caney High School in New Caney, Texas.

On March 23, 1987, Michael was united in marriage to Lorri Coldiron. The couple lived in several different places such as Fort Worth, Texas, until 1990, Des Moines, Iowa, until 1996 and Hospers, Iowa, until 2001, when he and his wife were divorced. On March 13, 2010, he married Ashley Cannon in Paulina, Iowa.

Michael worked as a diesel mechanic for H & D Enterprises and as a truck driver and he loved his job very much. Michael grew up in the Baptist church. His hobbies included motorcycles, working on cars, and most of all spending time with his son. Michael was a devoted father, amazing husband and a hero in his children’s eyes. He spent his life influencing others to know God’s love. His presence will forever live on.

Michael is survived by his wife Ashley LePaige of Sibley, Iowa; daughter, Alyssa (Triston) Schultz of Sheldon, Iowa; son, Jacob LePaige of Sibley, Iowa; two grandsons: Lucas Brickson (5) and Zander LePaige (3); three siblings: Terri Valko of Des Moines, Iowa, James Carmer of Des Moines, Iowa, and Cindy Coldiron of Florida; and other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in his parents; three siblings; mother-in-law, Opal Coldiron (2003); two sons: Jason LePaige (2006) and Micah LePaige (2007); grandmother, Shirley Grey (2012); and ex-wife, Lorri LePaige (2013).
