Peter Verick Tolsma – October 24, 1931 – October 18, 1944

YOUNG BOY KILLED

Peter Verick, the 9 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Tolsma of Inwood, was accidentally killed by a gun in the hands of his 18 year old brother Don on Wednesday evening.

The bullet passed through the young boys’ body just below the heart. He died in a Sioux Falls Hospital 5 hours later.

H would have been 10 years old on October 24th.

He is survived by the older brother, Don Jacques, a smaller brother Dudley Jerome, and a sister, Alice Avande, who is a nurse at the Sioux Valley Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday at Inwood, Mrs. Tolsma is a sister of John Zoernik of Hull.
