Arlen Klarenbeek, 38, of Larchwood died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Nogales, Mexico.
Services will be today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. at Lester Community Center with interment in Valleyview Cemetery, Rock Valley.

Mr. Klarenbeek was born Nov. 27, 1965, at Rock Rapids, the son of Leonard and Bernice (Hoogendoorn) Klarenbeek. He grew up in Lyon County and attended West Lyon Community School, graduating in 1984. He studied auto body at Southeast Technical School in Sioux Falls, S.D. He worked in auto body repair at G & J Body Shop, Inwood, two years.

On Feb. 14, 1986, he married Lynette Ohling near Ellsworth, Minn. They lived near Rock Rapids while he worked at Cayel-Craft in Rock Rapids two years. He then began driving truck, the past five years for TeSlaa Trucking in Hull. He was waiting to pick up a return load when he died unexpectedly.

Survivors include his wife; two children, Melissa and Jeremy at home; his mother and stepfather, Bernice and Cornie Van Veldhuizen of Inwood; two brothers, David of Alvord and Darwyn of Rock Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Allen (LeAnn) Post of Alvord; his grandmother, Lillian Klarenbeek of Sioux Center; two stepbrothers, Arnold Van Veldhuizen of Larchwood and Charles Van Velhuizen of Rock Rapids, and eight stepsisters, Mrs. Dave (Corrine) Spaans of Sioux Center, Mrs. Gerrit (Joyce) Bakker of Inwood, Mrs. Bill (Marlene) Greendyk of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Roger (Audrey) Solberg of Boyden, Mrs. Evan (Rhonda) LeLoux of Doon, Mrs. Rick (Sheila) Koenen and Mrs. Loren (Phyllis) Blankespoor, both of Rock Valley and Mrs. Greg (Kristi) DeJager of Rock Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his father and infant brother.
