Sioux Falls - Beverly Ruth Schmidt, 84 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 2, 2010.

She was married to Vern Schmidt on March 5, 1946.
Vern and Bev had 63 years of a happy marriage and were blessed with 2 children, Craig Schmidt and his wife Marlene, Sergeant Bluff, IA, Kimberly Bartlett and her husband Rick, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Stephen Schmidt-Asada (Yuko), Hiroshima, Japan, Phillip Schmidt, Castaic, CA, Stacey Thompson (Ray), Sioux Falls, SD, Jamen Bartlett, Sioux Falls, SD; great-grandsons Aaron Schmidt and Bryce Thompson.

Bev is also survived by sisters Marvyl Kahl, Inwood, IA, Aimee Schlumbohm, Rock Rapids, IA; brother Darryl Koll and his wife Eulalia, Pipestone, MN; sister-in-law Lorayne Koll, Rock Rapids, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12 pm on Monday, July 5, 2010, with the family present from 5 to 7 pm at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 41st Street and Valley View Road. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Peace Lutheran Church with burial at the Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA.
