Alma Eloise (Klein) Crooks – February 15, 1915 – January 7, 2008

Alma was born on February 15, 1915 in Alvord, IA to Otto A. and Anna Maria (Finck) Klein. She graduated from Alvord High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Harold C. Crooks on September 13, 1950. Alma worked for Western Surety Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Alma enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, reading, fishing, spending time at Lake Madison, traveling and being with her family.

Grateful for sharing her life is her sister-in-law, Jean Klein and many nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; five sisters; Alice Klein, Clara Hanzen, Ethel Thiessen, Margaret Smit and Dorothy Warwick; and four brothers, Iven, Loren, Frank and Earl Klein; and sister-in-law, Mildred Klein.

Alma E. Crooks, who was formerly of Sioux Falls, passed away on January 7, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Madison. Funeral services were held at at Our Savior's Lutheran Church & interment Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
