Agnes Boone, 90, of Madison, S.D., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at Beverly Health Center.

Services were Saturday at Roste Funeral Home, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Agnes Wagner was born Jan. 8, 1914, near George, the daughter of Case and Sue (Bus) Wagner. She grew up in the George-Rock Rapids area and attended country schools. In 1935, she moved to California where she worked in restaurants and later owned her own.

In 1950, she married Bob Boone. In 1970, they moved to Fairview S.D. She worked as a cook at Keystone Rehabilitation Center and as a cook at Canton-Inwood Hospital.

Her husband died in 1990 and she moved to Rock Rapids. In 2001, she moved to Madison.

Survivors include two sisters, Joan Gartamaker and Marianne Wineburg, both of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Case Jr., and one sister, Jane Zeutenhorst.
