Marie Meyers, 87, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Siouxland Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services were Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sioux City, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.

Marie Bahrenfus was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Alvord, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Schultz) Bahrenfus. She grew up and graduated from high school in Alvord. In 1936, she moved to Sioux City and attended National Business Training School. She worked at Wincharger from 1938-1948.

On March 13, 1948, she married Charles Meyers in Sioux City. He died Sept. 25, 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Jim, both of Sioux City; three daughters, Cathy Meyers and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Krejci, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Pat (Patty) Perry of Lincoln, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Richard, Paul and Henry, and one sister, Cecelia Kroger.
