Brenda Josephine was the daughter of Berend H. and Josephine Martha (Kaster) Tiedeman. She was baptized on October 6, 1946, and confirmed on June 18,1961, both at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She graduated from the Boyden-Hull High School and Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was then employed as a Registered Medical Technologist in Kansas and Mississippi. Later, Brenda attended graduate school at Texas Christian University at Fort Worth, Texas. In 1979, she moved to the Yakima Valley in Washington, and in 1983, she became a resident of Sunnyside.

At Sunnyside, she and her business partner, Tamara Brown, developed the TamBren Arabian Horse Ranch. In 1989, she entered the Yakima Valley Community College Computer Program and was currently vice-president of Data Services, Inc., of Sunnyside.

Miss Tiedeman was a member of the Lutheran faith. She was very active in the Arabian Horse Club of
Washington and wrote the organization's newsletter for the past several years.

Survivors include her father, Berend H. Tiedeman, of Hull; two brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Carol Tiedeman, of Hull; and Harlan and Dorothy Tiedeman, of Beresford, South Dakota; a sister and her husband, Susan and Dale Shumaker, of Canistota, South Dakota; eight nieces, five nephews, and many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant sister.
