Service; Tuesday, July 25, 2006 New Life Assembly of God Church, Inwood, Iowa, James Terwee, 49, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at his home early Tuesday morning, July 18th, 2006.
James Steven Terwee was born July 2, 1957 in Canton, South Dakota to Johnny and Judy (Crary) Terwee. He graduated from West Lyon High School at Inwood, Iowa in 1975. Jim continued his education at MIT in Kansas City, Missouri finishing in 1977.

He married Maria Kooima on December 2, 1977 at Inwood. They lived in Inwood until 1992 when they moved to Hallock, Jim managed Big Narrows Resort on Lake of the Woods until 1999 when he started Northland Computer. In 2000 he began Rural Access internet service and provided wireless service to the area. Rural Access became InvisiMax in 2002.

Jim retired in 2006 because of failing health. Family members include his wife, Maria; children, Justin (Alaina) Terwee, Hallock; Jamie Terwee, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lacy Terwee Grand Forks, ND and Lindsay Terwee also of Grand Forks; three grandchildren Simon, Elsa and Oliver Terwee; his mother, Judy (Mrs. John Kersting), Osakis, Minnesota; his step father, Jasper (Karen) Terwee, Inwood, Iowa; brothers, Gary (Linda) Terwee, Spencer, Iowa, Terry (Gloria) Terwee, Knob Noster, MO and Andrew (Jennifer) Terwee, Larchwood, Iowa; a sister, Jenny (Jim) Tupper, Indianola, Iowa; his mother and father-inlaw, Rose and Sebertus Kooima, Inwood, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services are scheduled for Friday in Hallock. Funeral service will be held New Life Assembly of God Church, Inwood. Interment will be in the Richland Cemetery.
