Marge Lorenzen, 85, of Rock Rapids died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Lyon Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services were Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Hillside Cemetery, Lester.

Margaret Lorenzen was born July 12, 1918, at Denison, the daughter of Louie and Edith (Swensen) Lorenzen. She attended country schools and helped on the family farm.

On May 13, 1968, she married Vernon Lorenzen in Elkton, S.D. They lived near Rock Rapids and owned and operated Marge's Snack Shop in Rock Rapids from 1969-1972.

Survivors include her husband; one daugher, Mrs. Alan (Dee) Sandau of Wakonda, S.D.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Louie and Roland, both of Omaha, Neb., and Glen of Quincy, Mass., and one sister, Connie Mayers of Denison.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Gene Miller and Al Wayne Miller.
