Ellsworth, Minnesota - Herman K. Kramer, age 85, of Ellsworth, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Park View Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth.

Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, December 24th at First Baptist Church of George, Iowa, with Rev. Steve May officiating.

Private family burial will be prior to the service at First Baptist Cemetery.

The Kramer family will be receiving friends and family Sunday evening from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at First Baptist Church of George. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Parkview Manor of Ellsworth.

Jurrens Funeral Home of George is in charge of services.

Ellsworth, Minnesota - Herman K. Kramer, age 85 of Ellsworth, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Park View Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth.

Private family burial will be prior to the service at First Baptist Cemetery. Visitation, with family will be held Sunday evening from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at First Baptist Church of George.

Herman Kermit Kramer was born August 25, 1927 near George, Iowa, the son of Herman and Grace (Schneidermann) Kramer. He was raised in the George and Little Rock area, attending country school and George High School. After his education he worked for area farmers.

On August 27, 1948 Herman was united in marriage to Mary Arends at the First Baptist Church Parsonage near George, Iowa. They lived and farmed in the Ellsworth community moving to Ellsworth in 1990.

Herman accepted Christ and was baptized as a young man, and became a member of the First Baptist Church, rural George. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mary, and spending time with his family.

In June of 2012 Herman entered the Parkview Manor Nursing Home, where he remained until this past Friday, when he died at the age of 85.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Kramer of Ellsworth, Minnesota; eleven children, Linda (Dave) Jett of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Herman Jr. (Jo) Kramer of Adrian, Minnesota, Ranae (Tom) Boltjes of Baltic, So. Dak., Judy (Alan) Eben of Little Rock, Iowa, Greg (Lesli) Kramer of Slayton, Minnesota, Leora (Mark) Loos of Lincoln, Nebraska, Donna (Doug) DeBoer of Little Rock, Iowa, Daryl (Mary) Kramer of Adrian, Minnesota, David (Kelly) Kramer of Ellsworth, Minnesota, Darren (Julie) Kramer of Adrian, Minnesota, Don (Jody) Kramer of Ellsworth, Minnesota; a son-in-law, Bob Davis of Blaine, Minnesota; forty-six grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marlene Davis, infant son, John Dwaine, brother, Kriene Kramer; and a sister, Hilda Christians.
