Laura (Berg) Dengler – August 27, 1902 – May 28, 1965

TUESDAY SERVICES FOR MRS. DENGLER, WHO DIED FRIDAY

Mrs Otto Dengler died early Friday afternoon at Merrill Pioneer Community hospital, where she had been admitted Thursday night. However, death followed a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday in Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev SJ Meyer officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 11 am to time of services, when the casket will be closed.
Burial will be in Riverview cemetery with the Jongewaard Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Laura Berg Dengler was born August 27, 1902 to Leonhard and Metta Berg of Rock Rapids. She married Otto Dengler, December 7, 1922 and has been a resident of the Rock Rapids community all her life.

Surviving are her husband; four sons, Alvin of Edgerton, Minn; Elmer of George; Alferd of Luverne and Loren of Rock Rapids; two daughters, Mildred, Mrs James Haviland of Rock Rapids and Martha, Mrs Clifford Phipps of Sioux Rapids; her mother, Mrs Metta Berg of Rock Rapids; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Wilferd who died in infancy.
