Kenneth Roy Lorenzen – April 7, 1936 – July 26, 2008

Kenneth Roy Lorenzen, 72, of Holstein, Iowa, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Cherokee Regional Hospital in Cherokee, Iowa.

Memorial services were 7 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Holstein, with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial was in Lester Cemetery, Lester, Iowa.

Ken was born in Lakewood, Iowa in April 7, 1936, the son of Theodore and Bertha (Wulf) Lorenzen. He graduated from Rock Rapids (Iowa) High School in 1955.

He worked as an electrician for Interstate Electric, Arnie Electric of Holstein, V-T Industries of Holstein and Gomaco in Ida Grove, Iowa for 14 years until he retired. He was married twice.

He loved to watch baseball and go fishing.

He is survived by three children, Richard (Ann) Lorenzen of Carroll, Iowa, Deb (Jason) Gross of Holstein and Tara Lorenzen of Holstein; brothers and sisters, Ted (Christine) Lorenzen of Georgia, Norbert (Penny) Lorenzen of Iowa, Loren (Mona) Lorenzen of Michigan, Donna (Eric) Figoras of Connecticut, Vernon (Penny) Lorenzen of Iowa, Elaine (Bud) Ault of Arizona, and Dwight (Sue) Lorenzen of Iowa; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Andrew and Logan Gross of Holstein and Kara Lorenzen of Carroll, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother
