Louis Timmerman 80 Rock Rapids, Iowa

Louis Timmerman, 80, of Rock Rapids died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Parkview Manor in Ellsworth, Minn.

Services were Wednesday, June 23, at Jurrens Funeral Home, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Timmerman was born Aug. 18, 1929, in Rock Rapids, the son of Richard and Etta (Jurrens) Timmerman. He grew up in the Rock Rapids area and attended Rock Rapids schools. He served in the military during the Korean War. Upon returning to Rock Rapids, he worked as a painter and handyman occasionally mowing lawns.

Survivors include one brother, Ubbe of Ellsworth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and Benny, and one sister, Johanna Ackerman.
