Grace Lillian (DeBoer) Henrichs -- August 2, 1918 - May 7, 2011)

Grace L. Henrichs, age 92 formerly of Little Rock, IA died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2011at the First Baptist Church rural George, IA, with Pastor Stephen May officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12th from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, IA.

Grace Lillian DeBoer was born on August 2, 1918, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Kruger) DeBoer on a farm near Little Rock, IA. She grew up near Little Rock and attended country school there. On December 23, 1941, she was united in marriage to Reiner A. Henrichs at the church parsonage. Grace was a member of the First Baptist Church rural George, where she was also an honorary member of the Christian Hour Circle. Grace’s hobbies included baking, embroidery, canning, playing checkers and word puzzles and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Harriet Lenderts of Sibley, IA., and son, Eldon (Donna) Henrichs of Sibley, IA; eight grandchildren, Lori Kruse, Gina Wietzema, Keylon Henrichs, Jason Henrichs, Steven Lenderts, Brian Lenderts, Aaron Lenderts and Jerry Lenderts; seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Reiner; three brothers, John DeBoer, Jake DeBoer and Peter DeBoer; one sister, Helen DeBoer and three half-sisters, Jennie Kruger, Jessie Freese and Alma Mudder.
