ALICE VAN HILL

Alice Van Hill, 78, of Rock Rapids died Saturday evening from injuries in an auto accident.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Christian Reformed Church in Rock Rapids
with Rev. Cliff Hoekstra officiating.
Burial was at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids. Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids was in charge of the arrangements.

Alice (Veldkamp) Van Hill was born at Valley Springs, SD. the daughter of Arend and
Minnie (Uithoven) Veldkamp. On October 16, 1942, she married Harvey Harms. In 1947
Harvey died from cancer.

On April 1,1953 she married Albert Van Hill at Rock Rapids. They farmed for several years in the
Rock Rapids area and in 1956 they moved to Sioux Falls. In 1997 they moved back to Rock
Rapids. This past Saturday evening on there way to a dance, Albert and Alice were involved
in an automobile and tractor accident which took Alice's life.

She is survived by her husband; four children, Gene Van Hill and his wife, Diane of Flandreau, Emeline Kroon and her husband, John of Steen, Don Harms and his wife Diane of Sioux Falls, and Al Van Hill and his wife, Jodi of Sioux Falls; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; five brothers; 3 sisters.
