Mary DeBoer, 93, of George died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

Services were Saturday at First Baptist Church, rural George, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mary Kruse was born April 11, 1910, in Little Rock, the daughter of Klaas and Elizabeth (Kruse) Kruse. She grew up in Little Rock. They family lived in White, S.D., eight years before moving to George.

On Feb. 15, 1933, she married Jacob H. DeBoer. They lived in George and Ellsworth, Minn.

Survivors include four sons, Harold of Sioux Falls, S.D., Clinton and LaVerle, both of George, and Jay of Rock Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Nels (Lila) Walters of Rock Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Claretta Van Sloten of Rock Rapids and Elizabeth Arends of Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, six sisters and an infant son.
