Brain Hemorrhage Is Fatal to Young Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Molenaar

Johannes, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Molenaar, living three miles north of this city, died at the home of his parents Sunday afternoon, following an illness of short duration. The cause of his death was a mystery, until post mortem examination showed that a cerebral hemorrhage had ended his life. Funeral services were held from the Lockwood & Pirwitz funeral parlors on Tuesday afternoon, and burial was in Riverview cemetery. Rev. J. DeJongh, pastor of the Reform church, of this city, was in charge of the services.

The youth was apparently in the best of health on Sunday, when he arose. Later in the morning he went to the home of a neighbor, where he spent some time. About noon, he was taken violently ill, and as soon as he could be taken to the home of his parents, Dr. L. L. Corcoran, of this city, was summoned. After caring for the boy, who appeared slightly, better, the local physician returned to this city, intending to call at the Molenaar home later in the afternoon. Before the visit could be made, the young man passed away. The post mortem examination showed that the boy had suffered a hemorrhage of the brain, evidently caused by a severe blow on the head, some time previous. He had never complained of the trouble to his parents, who are at a loss ot know when the accident took place.
