Mrs. Ingeborg Tobias, mother of Jacob Tobiason, of Centennial township, died last week at the home of her son, at the age of 78 years, the cause of death being primarily old age. The funeral was held from the Norwegian Lutheran church in Centennial township, where interment was made. Mrs. Tobiason was a citizen of Lyon county since the spring of 1869 and has lived continuously upon the homestead which her husband took up at that time. Mr. Tobiason, her husband, died about ten years ago, since which time the wife has not enjoyed the best of health. They have always been among the most highly respected people of the west end.

Note: Ingeborg was the daughter of Ole Aanenson & Anna Marie Klongeland. Her son, Jacob Tobiason, legally changed his name to Berkland in 1913. Her other children were Tobias Simonson, Ole, Andrew, and Lars Tobiason.
